Leslie Street Spit Wintering Barred Owl & Saw-whet Owls and a bonus well lit Kestrel photos from today.

Made a short trip out to Bluffers Park this afternoon to photograph some ducks and found a strange light phased/morph female mallard? Or? Something?

It was perfect conditions for a drive to Stoney Creek to see the Northern Hawk Owl.

Each time I have visited this area (looking for owls) I have seen a resident Northern Harrier, but this time I saw two of these Marsh hawks quartering the fields low in search of dinner.
