Colonel Sam Smith Park in Toronto this afternoon and within 20 minutes a Peregrine Falcon made an appearance and I managed to get a few photographs of this gorgeous falcon!

Colonel Sam Smith Park’s south pond hosts everything for the bird watcher and photographer, from migratory waterfowl, Lesser Scaup, mute swans, red-winged blackbird, tree swallows, gadwalls, red-neck grebe, ring-billed gulls, horned grebe to the common loon. Many other species of birds are watched and photographed here including the yellow warbler, eastern phoebe, many different species of sparrows. Red-winged blackbirds are also a regular sight as well as American goldfinch, yellow warbler, rose-breasted grosbeak, whip-poor-will, scarlet tanager, palm warbler and black-throated green warblers. Too many birds to list here!
