Although today was not optimal for birding, off and on rain with very high gusting winds I still saw quite a bit for the short time I was there. The usual suspects like Canada geese, Mallards, but also watched four Great Blue Herons off in the distance, Long tail ducks, mergansers, and a host of other species of waterfowl.

Located on the shores of Lake Ontario at the mouth of Duffins Creek, Rotary Park is an excellent birding location.
If you are into watching & photographing waterfowl, this location is for you! The mouth of Duffins Creek creates large wetlands perfect for herons, ducks, geese and a variety song birds. This is a great spot for viewing fall migrating waterfowl and other species of birds.
Some unique features of Rotary Park include a bridge spanning Duffins Creek, a (very small) boat launch, walkways, pathways and public washrooms.
Harwood Avenue south, parking is off Lake Driveway (see map below)!
